Mike Bonafede Development Associate

Mike Bonafede brings more than ten years of fundraising, legal, political and special events experience to Andy Spahn & Associates, Inc. As a Development Associate, Mike’s responsibilities include coordinating the strategy and execution of all fundraising and development efforts made on behalf of the firm’s clients. In addition, Mike also assists with the overall planning and strategy development on many of the firm’s major accounts.

Prior to joining Andy Spahn & Associates, Mike was an associate at Capital Strategies, a political fundraising firm in Los Angeles, where he worked with a broad range of clients, including national party committees, federal candidate campaigns, non-profit organizations and high net worth individuals. Before returning to work in politics, Mike practiced law as a corporate attorney, first in the New York City office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP and then in the Los Angeles office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. His legal work focused primarily on Capital Markets transactions and general corporate matters. Prior to law school, Mike worked in the Los Angeles office of the California Democratic Party and the Gore 2000 presidential campaign, and he also interned with the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance in Washington, D.C.

A native of Rochester, NY, Mike studied English and Political Science at UCLA and received his J.D. from Cornell Law School.
